Planning Applications

Planning Applications are normally discussed at the monthly meeting of Anston Parish Council. Details of the meetings are shown in the Council Calendar. The Agenda for the forthcoming meeting is published at least 3 days prior to the meeting.

Whilst the Parish Council considers and comments on applications affecting the parish, the planning authority for the area is Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council who can choose to take on board or ignore any comments made by the Parish Council.

Summary details of new planning applications notified to the Parish Council can be found in the 'news' section of the website.

Anston Parish Project Plans

Project Plan's are adopted by the Council and are reviewed annually as part of the planning process.

The Parish Council's project plan's detail projects that the Parish Council aim to fund, either through precept, reserves or external funding streams. They are not a list of issues that are the responsibility of other organisations such as Rotherham Council (i.e. pot holes, the condition of road surfaces, condition of footpaths, etc). The Parish Council will lobby the relevant organisations as and when required, as matters arise. Project Plans, detail the Parish Council's short-medium-and long term plans and informs the Councils budget.

The plans set out the main objectives of the Council for a 12 month period, they are kept relatively short to ensure that projects can be closely monitored. There are several major projects for which contracted services will be required.
